Who am I?
Hello, my name is Aloe Vera. I am a succulent and belong to the Asphodel family.

Where do I come from?
I am originally from the Arabian Peninsula. This is the area in which Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are located. Today I am grown all over the world, this is mainly due to the many uses of my juice. I am used for drinks, wound care, sunscreen and cosmetics, among other things.

How big will I get?
My thick leaf grows from the base and becomes a maximum of about 60 cm high and 8 cm wide at the base, after which it forms into a point. My leaves are bunched together and are blue-green in color.

How much do I want to drink?
Because my origins lie in the Arab part of the world, I need little moisture. This is because I can store water in my gelatinous leaves. Don't give me too much water, especially in the colder months I can go weeks without water.

Where do I want to stand and what temperatures do I like?
You can place me in all places between partial shade and full sun. I can tolerate a lot of direct sunlight, something I learned in my home country.
